The eHealth Implementation Programme


The eHealth Implementation Programme is a strategy aimed at electronisation of health services in the Slovak Republic and it is implemented through several projects. Currently, there are being implemented the following projects:
  • The National Project Electronic Health Services
  • The National Project Electronic Health Services-Extension of Functionality and Services

In European Commission there are two Directorates general covering the area of eHealth:
  • DG CONNECT – Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content & Technology
  • DG SANTE – Directorate General for Health and Food Safety

Website provider is National Health Information Center (NHIC) - a state contributory organization, which is established by The Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic.

National Health Information Center covers tasks in the area of health service informatics, standardization of information system on health service, collection, processing and providing of health statistical data and providing librarian-informational services from the field of medical sciences and health services. It is also the operator of national health registries and national administrative registries.
